An enterprise product studio, built for the way this region actually operates.
We design, build and operate enterprise software — and the AI automation around it — for hospitality, healthcare, retail and malls, real estate, equine, HR, finance and governance. What ties it together is one conviction: serious industry software should stand on a proven platform, not be rebuilt from scratch each time.
What ties the portfolio together
We took the third path.
540Systems began where most enterprise software goes wrong. On one side sit brilliant custom builds that start clean and become fragile, expensive and impossible to upgrade. On the other sit rigid off-the-shelf products that are stable but never fit the business, forcing your operation into someone else's mould.
We took a third path. By building on the ERPNext / Frappe platform, we inherit the hard, boring, essential parts — accounting, permissions, workflow, audit trail, APIs and a mobile app — and pour our energy into the part that actually differentiates a business: its industry. That single decision is why we can ship a hospital system, a mall platform and a stud-management suite from the same disciplined foundation.
It is also why our clients get vertical depth without the cost, timeline and fragility of building from zero — and a system that stays upgradeable for years, not one that has to be rescued in three.
The two ways software usually fails
- ✕Fragile custom builds Rebuild the plumbing every ERP already solved — then can't upgrade it.
- ✕Rigid off-the-shelf Deep in nothing, and bends your business to fit the tool.
- ✓Built on the platform Domain depth on top of a proven core — one system, upgrade-safe.
We grow the way we tell our clients to grow — in spirals.
Our sister venture, 540Learning, formalised a simple idea about how people and organisations actually improve. Most development stops at feedback: a full look at where you are now. That is a closed circle, and left alone it returns to where it began.
The 540 Learning Theory adds a second, forward-facing arc — a disciplined picture of who you mean to become — and bends the circle into a rising spiral. We run 540Systems on the same loop: read the present honestly, picture the future deliberately, take the smallest real step, and begin again.
Explore the 540 Learning Theory →Our mission
To give the region's enterprises industry-grade software and automation they can actually trust — fast to deliver, safe to maintain, and compliant by design.
Our vision
To be the studio the GCC's serious operators build on — where domain depth, a clean core and AI meet, and where every product is native to the systems that run the business.
Six principles we build by
They are not posters on a wall. Each one is a rule you can see in the code, the delivery plan and the contract.
Extend, never fork
We build on the platform's supported seams and never edit vendor code, so your system stays upgradeable for years.
Compliance is a feature, not a phase
Local regulation — ZATCA, NPHIES, NCA ECC, SAMA CSF, PDPL, IFRS — is designed in from the first sprint, not bolted on.
Staging before production, always
Every destructive change is rehearsed on staging and scripted, so nothing that touches your live data is a surprise.
Outcomes over technical vanity
We measure success in operations improved and riyals saved — not in lines of code.
Depth over breadth
We'd rather own an industry than skim ten. Real domain depth is the only thing a buyer is actually paying for.
Learn in spirals, not circles
We pair every honest look at where we are with a deliberate picture of where we're going — the 540 idea, applied to ourselves.
Discipline is what de-risks a project.
You see working software every sprint, and every destructive change is rehearsed before it touches production.
Discovery
We learn how your operation actually runs before we design anything.
Feasibility & estimate
Sizing in ranges, with assumptions, method and risks shown — and a clear go / no-go.
Staged build
Extend, don't fork. Per-module tests. Workflows and permissions on every record.
UAT & launch
Rehearsed on staging, scripted migrations, reversible steps — then production.
Support
We operate what we build, and ride the platform's roadmap so it keeps improving.
The brand family behind the work
540Systems is the customer-facing product-and-technology brand — the studio that designs and builds enterprise products natively on the ERP platform and runs an AI automation practice. It operates alongside Kayes and North Star Information Technology, and shares its intellectual roots with 540Learning, the venture behind the 540 Learning Theory.
Each product keeps its own name and lightweight identity — Hotel Pro, 540Health, MMIS, 540Sign, Valaria, Themes Pro — under the 540Systems umbrella.
Leadership
Co-founder of Hotel Pro and of 540Learning; leads product and technology across the portfolio.
A team that has shipped production ERP products across the GCC.
